Description
The Henry® Big Boy Steel is a hard-hitting, fast handling centerfire lever-action rifle, with enough fire power for hunting deer and hogs, bear protection, or home defense. The Henry is constructed with a solid steel receiver with enough strength to handle all magnum ammunition. The receiver has a solid top with side ejection, and is drilled and tapped for a scope mount. There is no loading port on the side of the receiver as ammunition is loaded directly into the tubular magazine from the top. Henry utilizes an internal transfer bar safety that prevents hammer contact with the firing pin unless the trigger is pulled. The rifle cannot fire from being dropped onto the hammer, nor will it accidently fire if the shooter’s thumb slips from the hammer while cocking. (There is no manual cross-bolt safety or traditional half-cock notch for a safety.) The trigger pull is crisp and clean, allowing for fine accuracy. A traditional buckhorn-style rear sight and a brass bead front sight are quick to pick up for fast shooting. The Henry Big Boy Steel is an attractive lever-action rifle, with a checkered American walnut stock and steel-capped forend. The barrel and receiver are matte blue. A rubber butt-pad helps absorb recoil, and provides a non-slip weld on the shooter’s shoulder. Sling swivel studs allow the attachments of a sling for ease of carry. The lines of the Henry rifle are traditionally American, including its design and the cartridge it fires. Made in USA.
